Challenge

Econet carried out the construction of a new extra water production unit of demineralization line. The goal was to increase the capacity of demineralized preparation water production.

Efficient demineralization process of a power plant is crucial part of the operations of a pulp mill. The energy required for the production of pulp and lignin is produced at the plant’s own power plant. Weakly functioning demineralization process can slow or even stop the operation of the power plant, because salts and minerals may accumulate in pipelines.

Solution

The scope of the contract included new demineralization line design, construction works, installation, and commissioning. To ensure the safe use of the new demineralization line, Econet also trained Sunila mill’s employees.

Reliable and efficient production process increases the customer’s competitiveness. High quality and client’s needs satisfying results were ensured through close collaboration between the Stora Enso and Econet during the project.
