We design cost-effective water and wastewater treatment plants for both industry and municipal projects.
Our strength in design is decades of experience combined with practical know-how. We have been delivering water projects for over 20 years – we know what works in theory and, more importantly, in practice.
We design the process to suit the circumstances and select the right equipment to solve the customer’s problem. Treatment processes and plants designed and implemented by Econet are efficient, reliable, and environmentally safe.

Plant Pre-Engineering
The basis for efficient design. We review the project objectives and requirements to ensure that all parties understand the direction of the design. Pre-design outlines the overall design of the plant and sets the initial design objectives.

Process Design
Each water treatment process and its operational requirements are unique. Careful process design ensures that the plant will operate efficiently and without disruption. We consider the process requirements and optimise its performance.

Layout Design
Every square foot is valuable. In layout design, we optimise the use of space by placing equipment and creating a functional and safe environment. At this stage, we also consider maintenance by making the plant as easy to maintain as possible.

Mechanical Design
The heart of the plant. Mechanical design covers the plant’s machinery and ensures its efficient operation. We produce accurate plans and ensure the equipment is compatible and meets all requirements.

Piping Design
The lifeblood of flowing water. The piping design ensures water flows in the right direction and at the correct pressure. This includes pipe placement, diameter, connections, supports and material selection.

Automation and Instrumentation
Intelligent control and monitoring. Automation and instrumentation design covers the automated systems of a plant to optimise its process and monitor its operation efficiently.

Construction Task Design
The aim is to provide the structural engineer with the correct input from a process engineering perspective. The input data includes, for example, pipe penetrations through the structures, heights and other dimensions of flow openings, load data of process equipment, fetch holes, etc. Accurate construction design can lead to significant savings on site, for example, by avoiding diamond drilling when making openings afterwards. In short, careful design of construction tasks ensures a smooth and efficient execution.

From Design to Reliable Implementation
Our extensive expertise ensures that our design services meet our clients’ highest standards and diverse needs. The design phase is followed by reliable implementation. Sticking to agreed schedules, high-quality technical solutions and reliable delivery logistics guarantee our success, even in projects thousands of kilometres away from our headquarters.
We realise even more challenging projects.
