Client
SIA Dimdini, a Latvian producer of salads and juices.
Need
Dimdini faced challenges with sugar-rich wastewater and the intense red colour from beetroot processing. They sought a solution that would not only improve treatment efficiency but also reduce costs and eliminate the need for chemicals.
Solution
Econet designed and supplied a compact, containerised treatment plant, ideally suited to Dimdini’s limited factory space. The innovative treatment process, which combines biological treatment with electrocoagulation, delivers excellent treatment results without the use of chemicals. The treated water meets local village wastewater standards, eliminating the need for costly wastewater transport and lowering treatment fees.
Econet’s Role
- Design of the treatment plant
- Key component supply
- Installation supervision
- Commissioning and staff training
The completely new treatment process, based on biological treatment and electrocoagulation (electrochemical precipitation), reduced SIA Dimdini’s substantial wastewater fees.
